The Australian Plastic Fabricators Association was founded in Melbourne in 1982. The Association represents manufacturers and suppliers to the stationery, manufacturing and packaging industry. The Australian Plastic Fabricators Association is a national organisation with international affiliation.

The aim of the association is to represent a group of like minded companies and act as one for the growth and protection of our industry.

The Australian Plastic Fabricators Association (APFA) has joined the ACASPA. Following a presentation by Russell Brown at the APFA Annual General Meeting in Queensland about ACASPA's benefits a decison was reached by APFA to come under the ACASPA umbrella and for each APFA Member to become individual members.

3   Link   ASGA - Australian Sign and Graphics Association

For over forty years, the Australian Sign and Graphics Association has been the representative body for the sign industry in Australia, and as such, plays an active role as a forum for the exchange of ideas, the development of training in the craft, and the dissemination of information and guidance to its many members.

It covers the whole spectrum of sign-makers: neon, LED, illuminated, handcrafted, technology, construction and design... in fact, signage in all its varieties. The Association has built an enviable reputation and trust with many government departments and other statutory organisations and local authorities, and acts as the official channel of communication between the industry and these bodies on matters of commercial, technical or economic policies affecting the sign industry.

In encouraging the highest standards from its members, The ASGA believes its policy of quality and commitment to the customer is not only in the best interests of its members, but also provides a safeguard for their clients.

For many years the Association has represented the industry, assisting with apprenticeship administration, approval of training establishments, training standards to enable apprenticeship training to continue under the direction whereby the students are well received by the industry.

The Association provides members with continued support and technical information by way of: Monthly Email newsletters The "eNews", The Visual Impact Magazine, Image Magazine, regular meetings, conferences and trade exhibitions and workshops,fostering and promoting the Letterheads movement and many other activities in Australia.

The ASGA members and their clients are offered a nationwide professional sign service that is guaranteed, so that corporate clients can be assured of a high standard of craftsmanship throughout the country.

4   Link   BSGA - British Sign and Graphics Association

The British Sign and Graphics Association (BSGA), and its forerunner organisations, has been representing the interests of sign makers and other businesses associated with the sign industry in the UK since 1918.

Today, members include every type and size of sign business, from craftsman signwriters through companies that manufacture architectural and illuminated signage to those that specialise in the production of vinyl signage, vehicle liveries and digitally produced signs.

The Association also represents a number of other sign related business sectors including sign installers, sign designers, consultants and businesses that manufacture and distribute products, materials and equipment used in sign making.

The Association has three principal objectives:

* 1. To support, represent and lobby on behalf of the members.

* 2. To encourage and promote the highest quality standards in both workmanship and customer service.

* 3. To promote the services and gain recognition for member companies, who have agreed to abide by the BSGA Code of Practice, with sign buyers and sign specifiers.

The BSGA is the UK’s only trade association dedicated to guarding the interests and providing services to whole sign industry in Great Britain.

The purpose of the Digital Signage Association (DSA) is to accelerate the growth and advance the excellence of digital signage deployments worldwide. Simply put, we want to help those deploying digital signage solutions be as successful as possible. The Association is built on three pillars: advocacy, education and networking.

DSA welcomes users of digital signage in all vertical markets – retail, financial services, hospitality and travel, entertainment, human resources, health care, government and others. We also welcome manufacturers, resellers and distributors of digital signage hardware and software as well as network operators, integrators, advertising agencies, consultants, analysts, publishers, tradeshow organizers and service companies.

6   Link   EDPA - Exhibit Designers + Producers Ass'n

The Exhibit Designers and Producers Association (EDPA), founded in 1954, is an internationally recognized national trade association with more than 400 corporate members from 18 countries that are engaged in the design, manufacture, transport, installation and service of displays and exhibits primarily for the exhibition and event industry.

Its purpose is to provide education, leadership and networking for the advancement of its members and the exhibition industry. In addition to providing regional industry education programs through its six chapters, EDPA organizes one annual meeting, tradeshow and golf tournament in a resort location for industry members and their suppliers. EDPA holds quarterly board meetings, publishes a printed quarterly newsletter, monthly electronic newsletter and membership directory. EDPA also hosts several industry awards, educational surveys and supports the EDPA Foundation.

7   Link   EPDA - European Plastics Distributors Association

Established in 1975, the European Plastics Distributors Association (EPDA) is comprised of companies engaged in the distribution and manufacture of plastic sheet, rod, tube, pipe, valves, fittings, film and related products, and whose goal is to establish a leadership role within the plastics industry.EPDA members manufacture and distribute plastic-oriented products: plastic semis and/or plastic pipe, valves and fittings. These products come in a wide range of shapes, colours, forms and materials. The main shapes include sheets, blocks, rods, profiles, tubes, pipes, valves and fittings. The successful integration of these materials into the marketplace is a common concern among the members of EPDA.

EPDA members maintain large inventories, and most offer sophisticated cutting services and stock auxiliary products, such as welding equipment and cements or plastic fittings and valves. It is not only the immediate availability of a large variety of plastic semis that characterises the activities of the members of EPDA. The day-to-day contact with the major players in the industry provides EPDA members with access to the most up-to-date information. This detailed and thorough knowledge of materials and their applications is available to fellow members and to all fabricators, whatever the activity.

Since its founding in 1972, originally as the Eastern States Sign Council, the United States Sign Council has been dedicated to providing an educational resource for the sign industry, and is now the largest association of independent sign shops in the world.
