CINCINNATI, Ohio (iPlastic) July 6, 2009 - Following their recent one year anniversary, Optiglass has made a new addition to their team. David Ruff joined Optiglass as the new Operations Manager in Cincinnati, Ohio. He will oversee the production of Optiglass’ polycarbonate products, OptiClear and OptiMar.
David Ruff has worked in the industry for over 10 years, and is best known for his time spent with Plaskolite. He worked as the General Manager for Plaskolite West in Phoenix, AZ and was also Director of Public Affairs and Human Resources in Cleveland, OH.
Ruff says, "I am pleased to be part of the Optiglass PC team; I have been an Optiglass customer and seen first-hand the level of craftsmanship that goes into each sheet. The team that has been assembled at Optiglass is quite impressive and will no doubt be extremely successful, I am glad that the opportunity arose to become part of it."
"I am thrilled to have David become a part of this," says Optiglass President Richard Filiault. "He has seen firsthand what it takes to be successful in this business. I have big plans for year two, and David will be a key part of our success."
Over the next year Filiault plans on expanding production to North Carolina, adding tinted polycarbonate to his product line, and will concentrate on toll-coating for other polycarbonate manufacturers. He also foresees increased global expansion, beyond Latin America and the Middle East.
